Kickoff - Meeting PHYSICS
On the 13th of February 2023, after a short application process, together with the Project sponsors from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the kickoff- event for our PHYSICS project took place at the Berliner Steigenberger Hotel am Kanzleramt.
Numerous institutions, SME´s and research institutions - mostly universities and colleges - advertised their ideas in a 5-minute presentation concerning the topic.
"Cyber Security and Digital Sovereignty in 5G/6G Communication Technologies as a Part of the 45th Element of the German Federal Government's Economic Stimulus Plan (KoPa)"
With our affinity for automotive car industry and the additional connections, our focus as the AMZ Sachsen lies on driverless driving and its save occupation in the vehicle and infrastructure.
This topic was discussed in a short presentation by the head of department Thomas Keltsch, in order to eliminate a lot of further questions.
Obviously, questions were allowed, so that a constructive discussion within the network could develop. This was underlined by the sponsoring institutions, and all interactivities were well received.
To our astonishment and yet as a confirmation of Saxony as a location as the cradle of industrial culture, there were numerous requests to speak, mentions, cross-references and notes on start-ups, SME´s and smaller research teams as university offshoots that had been dealing with or researching the above-mentioned topics in Saxony for a long time. Further impulses for our project or partners for our AMZ network could also be found here.
In the subsequent discussion part of the event, ideas were developed on the topics of cooperation, networking/synergies and possible exploitation results after the two-year project period. These have been carefully received by BSI and DLR and we are very excited about the processing and provision...
Now the work begins - on 23.02.2023 we will start internally with our project partners!
