Crossroads Assistant (TADA)

As part of the project, the interdisciplinary transnational consortium enhances modern transportation infrastructure at complex intersections to detect the position and projected routes of connected and non-connected traffic participants (vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians) and merge them into an integrated model of the current and anticipated traffic situation in the study area. This requires the scientifically and technically sophisticated combination of existing and newly researched sensor technology, intelligence, and models. The project aims to demonstrate the functional principle under laboratory conditions and simulate various typical scenarios and disruptive factors encountered in intersection situations.

The development project originated within the framework of the Transatlantic Automated Driving Alliance (TADA).
