TEXTILES IN INTERIOR - Another Step towards the Interior of the Future for InSuM

With the focus on “Textiles in Interior,” the project team of the Interior Hub InSuM explores the use of textiles as high-performance materials in the vehicle interior.

To accomplish this, our project leader Andreas Bergner and the InSuM – Interior Hub Automotive team have partnered with the new collaborators: ITA Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University and Textile Research Institute Thuringia-Vogtland e.V. (TITV Greiz).

The potential applications and areas of use for textiles in the interior are diverse, ranging from interactive control surfaces to textile heating systems, among others. Similarly, there are significant opportunities for sustainable product design.
