News from our network: Faun Viatec celebrates plant opening - production of the a.sweeper planned

a.sweeper – to roll off the production line in Grimma: The opening of the new production plant of Faun Viatec GmbH also created the basis for the further development and production of the autonomous driving sweeper.

The so-called a.sweeper was developed in cooperation between AMZ Sachsen, Faun Viatec GmbH, FusionSystems GmbH, NAVENTIK GmbH and project partners from the USA – as part of our TADA project (Transatlantic Automated Driving Alliance).

The prototype of the autonomous driving sweeper could be admired at the opening ceremony of the new production plant in Grimma and will also be further developed and produced there in the future.

The partners and innovative companies around the TADA project have set themselves the task of integrating high-performance sensor and intelligence solutions into a standard sweeper, thereby enabling comprehensive environment recognition and situation-dependent independent decision-making in the event of unexpected disruptive events and obstacles.
