New "city course" test track at DEKRA Lausitzring
The new urban course test track for autonomous driving was officially inaugurated yesterday at the DEKRA Lausitzring, under bright weather…
…in the presence of politicians, DEKRA executives and management, a large number of the over 200 DEKRA employees, and guests from the research and automotive industry:
Among those present were Guido Beermann, the Minister of Transport of Brandenburg, and Guido Kutschera, the CEO of DEKRA Automobil GmbH. Also in attendance were Siegurd Heinze, the district administrator of the OSL district, the mayor of Schipkau, as well as members of the Bundestag and state parliament. Of course, the management of the test facility, including Uwe Burkhardt, Erik Pellmann, and Norbert Kohlenbrenner, were also present.
Coming Soon: Technical Opening + Presentation of the TADA Projects on Autonomous Driving on September 26th and 27th, 2023
The DEKRA team, a long-standing member of the AMZ Sachsen, created a successful event combining an in-house trade fair, various test demonstrations, and the ceremonial opening of the track itself. The event provided a good preview of the technical opening on September 26th and 27th, 2023. Within this framework, the Saxon AMZ-TADA projects on automated driving will also be presented to an international expert audience at the Lausitzring.
Thomas Keltsch, Department of Automated Driving at AMZ, was able to get an impression of the ideal testing conditions on the opening day. He and the AMZ Sachsen team are looking forward to the presentations in the fall.
