AMZ member company Brainware Solutions GmbH recently delivered the latest generation of automated assembly and end-of-line test systems for cable harness production and testing to a well-known customer. Interesting: assembly and end-of-line test steps for the cable harness as well as for the housing to be installed run at the same time. During the assembly itself, an integrated test ensures that only the right assembly parts are installed in the right way in exactly the right place. This precision is extremely important, especially in highly sensitive security-relevant areas. In the background, a combination of intelligent image processing, sensors and tactile tests ensures that all assembly steps have been carried out completely and correctly in just a few seconds. All of this ensures a significant increase in production efficiency with the lowest error rate.
