Workshop electromobility strategies of the manufacturers - BMW, Mercedes Benz, Opel, Ford
In mid-July 2021, the EU Commission announced the “Fit for 55” package: by 2030, the CO2 emissions of new cars are to be reduced by 55 percent. By 2035, new cars will have to be completely emission-free. A gloomy future for classic combustion engines. The major manufacturers are reacting and announcing new or modified strategies for emission-free vehicle fleets.
After the two workshops on the Volkswagen Group’s electromobility strategy, everything on September 8th will revolve around the electromobility strategies of the BMW Group, Mercedes Benz, Opel and Ford.
Get detailed insights into the strategies of these manufacturers and learn more about the planning of locations, vehicles, quantities and components.
Background
Europe has been releasing the handbrake on electromobility since last year. The EU’s “Fit for 55” climate package, which was newly adopted in July 2021, also increases the pressure on manufacturers to convert to emission-free vehicles with specific CO2 limits and targets. The last hours for conventional combustion engines have struck.
The trend reversal that has begun towards electromobility and the associated risks and opportunities for suppliers, outfitters and service providers should not be underestimated.
In this workshop you will learn, using specific production-related data from the manufacturers, which strategies the OEMs are pursuing on the growth path and how quickly the trend reversal will spread. The Chemnitz Automotive Institute (CATI) can access a production-oriented database.
