Automotive thüringen e.V. (“at”) was founded on August 29, 2000 by 9 Thuringian companies as the automotive supplier Thuringia e.V. (AZT). The aim is to strengthen the Thuringian automotive supplier companies. Today the “at” has 97 members. In Thuringia, the automotive and automotive supplier industry, with over 500 companies and around 51,000 employees, is the largest employer with a turnover of over 7.2 billion euros.
The network AMZ and automotive thüringen e.V. support each other particularly in the area of public relations such as the announcement of events. Joint trade fair appearances or the organization of cross-border events are also part of the cooperation. AMZ members can take part in events organized by automotive thüringen e.V. at its membership conditions.
Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (CWE)
The Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (CWE) guarantees a comprehensive service for resident companies interested in relocating, from business start-up advice to the marketing of urban and private commercial space. Another important task of the CWE is the marketing of the city of Chemnitz as a business location and tourist destination, together with local and regional partners.
European Lightweight Clusters Alliance
ELCA (European Lightweight Cluster Alliance) is a joint initiative with the aim of accelerating the introduction of lightweight construction materials in strategic industries. Mobility is at the center of the alliance, but application in other light-weight-related industries is also being pushed: energy, health, defense and construction. The alliance creates a unique integrative business framework for exploring lightweight market opportunities. The main players from established industries and research institutions can work together and promote activities in order to put lightweight construction technologies into practice. AMZ is one of 17 hub partners.
Gemeinnütziger Förderverein »August Horch Museum Zwickau« e.V.
The “Förderverein August Horch Museum Zwickau e.V.” was founded in 1992 and currently has more than 380 members. The association promotes and supports the August Horch Museum Zwickau in its activities. All activities are aimed at maintaining and expanding the August Horch Museum. The association is non-profit and politically and religiously neutral.
The cooperation agreed in 2020 aims to make the emotions and tradition of the Saxon automotive industry tangible for the members. In addition, the cooperation offers small companies in particular the opportunity to present their own skills, including in the projects of the friends’ association. The cooperation also offers AMZ members new, emotional event opportunities and contacts to classic car enthusiasts.

IHK Chemnitz, Regionalkammer Zwickau
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chemnitz is the regional interest group for tradespeople in the South West Saxony region. The IHK employees are currently responsible for around 73,000 member companies.
In cooperation with the AMZ network, the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce, Zwickau regional chamber, organizes the annual automobile congress. As part of AMZ market campaigns, the IHK organizes business trips or supports events that address the various target markets in the network. AMZ also works with the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce for trade fair appearances in the automotive region of Saxony.
MAHREG Automotive
MAHREG Automotive has now risen to become a trademark of automotive competencies from Saxony-Anhalt and represents a large number of the state’s supplier companies with their products and services that are not exclusively but very successfully present on the market in the automotive sector. Sachsen-Anhalt Automotive e.V. is the sponsor of the MAHREG Automotive competence network, an InnoRegio initiative that was launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the “Innovative Impetus for the Region” competition.
OES Organic Electronics Saxony e.V.
Organic Electronics Saxony (OES) is a research cluster for organic, flexible and printed electronics, which was founded as an association on October 6, 2008 by 7 companies and 3 research institutes from the organic electronics department. It represents the interests of Saxon and Central German companies and research institutions in this technology and, through its measures, promotes the targeted transfer of know-how from university basic research to material development, systems, components and end products. OES is a consortium partner in Innovationscluster Sensorik Sachsen .
ofraCar Automobilnetzwerk e.V.
The automotive network ofraCar is the active platform of the northern Bavarian automotive supplier industry. Over 50 member companies are already organized in the network, with the aim of jointly promoting their companies through a variety of activities (e.g. working groups, collaborations, specialist seminars) and positioning themselves successfully in the competition. The involvement in the network and the high-quality contact with numerous players from the regional automotive industry offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange ideas in a practical manner and to secure decisive competitive advantages.
SAENA Sächsische Energieagentur GmbH
SAENA is the state energy agency for Saxony and the contact point for everyone and companies, municipalities and citizens in the field of energy and climate protection. The SAENA team will help you to better understand these new framework conditions and technologies.
SA&AM Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing
Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing (SA&AM) is a cluster initiative in the Katowice Special Economic Zone. Here are companies like Opel Manufacturing and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles settled as well as many manufacturers of components for the automotive industry. The SA & AM network has been around for over 9 years and it currently unites more than 100 automotive suppliers. Through its activities, the network supports the development of competencies in companies and their employees and creates favorable framework conditions for the development and creation of new automotive investments.
The AMZ and SA & AM signed a cooperation agreement on October 7, 2021. The aim is to start joint activities such as joint events such as workshops or conferences. In addition, opportunities for cooperation are to be created for the companies and contacts to the companies are to be established. The exchange of experience and knowledge between the two networks should also be strengthened.
Silicon Saxony
The Silicon Saxony e. V., with around 350 members, is the largest high-tech network in Saxony and one of the largest microelectronics and IT clusters in Germany and Europe. As a self-financed association, Silicon Saxony has been connecting manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, colleges / universities, research institutes, public institutions and industry-relevant startups in Saxony and beyond since its foundation in 2000. Silicon Saxony is a consortium partner in Innovationscluster Sensorik Sachsen .
Stadt Leipzig, Amt für Wirtschaftsförderung
The city’s economic development see itself as a close partner to medium-sized companies. Depending on the situation, she acts as a pilot, moderator, coordinator or even as a crisis manager. The broad spectrum of action ranges from contact management to initial information or advice on economic issues to the provision of economic information.
In cooperation with the AMZ network, the City of Leipzig regularly organizes the Drive Connection on controversial topics in the automotive industry with a focus on the Leipzig economic area.
Wirtschaftsförderung Erzgebirge GmbH (WFE)
The cooperation includes collaboration and mutual support in marketing activities, the joint organization of events as well as the mutual exchange of information and contacts.
AMZ participates annually on the Erzgebirge cooperation exchange organized by the Erzgebirge Economic Development Corporation.
Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS)
The Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) was founded in 1991 as a state-owned company of the Free State of Saxony and has since been active in three main areas of activity. She promotes Saxony as a location and advises potential investors comprehensively from the idea to the implementation of a settlement project. In addition, the WFS supports Saxon companies in their export efforts and initiates cooperation with companies outside of Saxony. The aim is to open up new sales opportunities for the Saxon economy and to create jobs in Saxony.
One result of the successful cooperation between the AMZ and the WFS is the joint stand “Saxony!”, Where for the second time in a row Saxon automobile companies from the network will be exhibiting at the IAA. Network and business development support each other with events and delegation trips as part of the foreign campaigns.
